Short answer: Vonwik.com stopped working because the domain was transferred to the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) following a US federal court judgment in June 2026. The service is not coming back, its billing system is offline, and its support inbox is no longer being answered. Existing subscriptions cannot be restored or refunded through Vonwik.com.
Is Vonwik down right now?
Yes — and it is not a temporary outage.
If you try to reach vonwik.com, you are no longer taken to the service. The domain now redirects to a page operated by the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment, a coalition that includes Netflix, Disney, Amazon, Paramount and Warner Bros.
Two things you may have already noticed:
- The billing portal at
vonwik.com/billing/returns a “Down for Maintenance (Err 3)” error, so no payments or renewals can go through. - Vonwik’s own support notice stated: “Due to the volume of emails we have received we are not able to answer tickets at this time.”
That message went up before the domain changed hands. Emails sent to their support address are not being answered.
Why did Vonwik stop working?
In June 2026, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania entered a $9 million default judgment against Brandon Weibley, the operator behind Vonwik.
The court found the infringement willful and issued a permanent injunction that required Weibley’s domains — including vonwik.com — to be transferred to ACE.
| When | What happened |
|---|---|
| 2017 | Operator registers beastmodebuilds.com, starts selling subscriptions |
| 2017–2023 | Runs under Beast Mode Live, BTV, Viking Media, GreenWing Media |
| Dec 2023 | Studios send cease-and-desist; operation moves to vonwik.com, rebrands as Shrugs and Zing |
| Mar 2025 | Amazon, Netflix, Disney and Paramount file suit |
| Jun 2026 | Court awards $9M, orders domains transferred to ACE |
The operator never responded to the lawsuit or appeared in court, which is why judgment was entered by default. We covered the case in full in the full story behind the shutdown.
My app still shows channels — why?
Some users still see a channel list load for a short while. That is usually your app displaying a cached playlist, not a live connection.
Once the upstream servers stop responding, you will see one of these:
Playlist loading failed/Unable to load playlistAuthorization failedorAccount expired- Channels appear in the list but every one of them buffers forever and never starts
- EPG (the TV guide) stops updating and shows yesterday’s schedule
None of these are fixable from your side. Reinstalling the app, changing DNS, or switching to a different IPTV player will not bring the service back — the problem is at the provider, not on your device.
Can I get a refund from Vonwik?
Realistically, no.
Vonwik advertised a 7-day money-back guarantee, but that guarantee depended on the operator processing it. With the billing system offline, the support inbox unmonitored and the domain no longer under their control, there is no working channel to request a refund through.
If you paid recently, the only avenue that sometimes works is your own payment provider:
- Credit or debit card — contact your bank and ask about a chargeback for services not delivered. Time limits apply, so act quickly.
- PayPal — open a dispute under “item not received / service not provided.”
- Crypto — unfortunately, these payments are not reversible.
Be aware that describing the purchase accurately matters when you file. Keep your original payment confirmation and any emails you still have.
What are my options now?
You have three, honestly:
1. Move to a legal streaming service. Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and similar services are the safest option and are not at risk of disappearing overnight.
2. Free ad-supported TV. Pluto TV, Tubi and Samsung TV Plus are free, legal and carry a few hundred live channels between them.
3. Choose another IPTV provider. If you go this route, at least apply what this situation taught everyone:
- Start on a monthly plan. Do not pay 12 months upfront to a provider you have not tested — that is exactly what left Vonwik customers out of pocket.
- Test before you commit, with a trial or a short first term.
- Check that support answers before you pay, not after.
- Pay by a method that gives you a dispute path.
We compared all three routes in detail in how Vonwik users are choosing a replacement.
⚠️ Vonwik.com and Vonwik TV are not the same service
This is important, and we want to be direct about it.
This website — Vonwik TV (vonwik.tv) — is a separate, independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to vonwik.com, its operator, or any of the services named in that court case (Beast Mode Live, BTV, Viking Media, GreenWing Media, Shrugs or Zing).
Concretely, that means:
- We cannot access, restore, extend or refund a vonwik.com subscription.
- We cannot look up your old account, credentials or payment history.
- Your vonwik.com login will not work here.
- We are a different company with different servers and different billing.
We share a similar name. That is the extent of the connection, and we would rather tell you that clearly than have you find out after paying.
Frequently asked questions
Is Vonwik coming back?
No. The domain was transferred to ACE under a permanent court injunction. Domains transferred this way are not returned.
Will my Vonwik subscription work on another Vonwik-named site?
No. Several unrelated sites use variations of the Vonwik name. None of them can access vonwik.com accounts, and any site claiming it can restore your old subscription is not being truthful.
Is it safe to keep the Vonwik app installed?
The app itself is a standard IPTV player, but it can no longer connect. There is no reason to keep it, and unused apps that no longer receive updates are worth removing.
I paid last week. Am I going to get that money back?
Not from Vonwik. Your best and probably only route is a chargeback or dispute through your card issuer or PayPal, and sooner is better than later.
Are the other Vonwik sites the official ones?
No. Only vonwik.com and beastmodebuilds.com were named in the court order. Every other site using the name — including this one — is run by someone else entirely.
Looking for a service that’s actually online?
Vonwik TV is an independent IPTV provider — 30,000+ live channels and 100,000+ movies and series, running on our own infrastructure.
