Quality: what streams in 4K and what does not
Worth being straight about, because this is where marketing usually gets loose.
A provider cannot deliver a higher resolution than the source broadcast. If a network transmits in 1080i, no service on earth turns that into genuine 4K — upscaling is not the same thing. So:
- HD is the standard across the adult category, as it is for most live television.
- 4K is carried where the channel actually broadcasts it, which today is a minority of adult networks.
- The on-demand library tends to hold the higher-resolution material, because files are not constrained by a live broadcast chain.
Anyone advertising an entire adult line-up in 4K is describing their upscaler, not their sources.
Hiding or removing the category
Two different controls, and the difference is worth understanding:
- PIN lock (hides it). Set a parental code in your player and point it at the adult category. The category still exists in the list but refuses to open without the code. Set this per device — the PIN lives in the app, not on the server.
- Removal (deletes it). Ask support and the category comes off your line completely. It stops appearing in the playlist at all, on every device, at the next refresh.
If children use the same screen, the second option is the sturdier one. A locked category is still a visible category.
